It’s been ten years since the first iPhone was officially released. Apple iPhone has changed a lot for the past ten years and quickly become one of the most anticipated smartphones every year. One of the biggest changes in iPhone we have seen in recent years is that iPhone is getting bigger and bigger.
A larger iPhone brings in larger layout, bigger icons and space. However, larger layout sometimes may put a lot of pressure on your eyes, causing your eyes to strain when sticking too close to the screen. Luckily, Apple now allows you to toggle text and icons, making them much easier to see on your home screen with the help of a handy feature called Display Zoom.
In this step-by-step guide, we will walk you through the steps to make text and icon easier to see on your iPhone with Display Zoom.
Steps to make text and icon easier to see on iPhone using Display Zoom
Steps to enable Display Zoom mode on your iPhone
Step one: First off, you need to launch the Settings app from your home screen. Scroll down a little bit and tap on Display & Brightness
Step two: Next up, scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap View under the Display Zoom section
Step three: Once you are in, you will notice that there are two modes including Standard and Zoomed. In the Standard state, your iPhone has normal icons, well-spaced and normal texts. But if icons and texts are not large enough for you to see, you can make them bigger by tapping Zoomed
Step four: You will get a preview of the Zoomed mode to see how bigger your icons and texts will be on the home screen. Once you are done, tap Set located in the upper right corner of the page
Step five: Tap Use Zoomed. After that, your iPhone will restart to apply the change.
Note that once you have enabled Display Zoom mode on your iPhone, your icons and text will be much bigger while the padding between icons is lesser.
Steps to return to Display Zoom’s Standard mode on your iPhone
If you find your icons and text too big in Zoomed mode, you can easily make them smaller by re-enabling the Standard mode. Here is how you can do that.
Step one: Launch the Settings app from your home screen and then tap on Display & Brightness
Step two: Next up, tap View under the Display Zoom section
Step three: Tap Standard on the next screen and tap Set
Step four: Tap Use Standard and your device will restart to apply the change.
