Skype receives phone-recording feature
Skype is among the most popular messaging apps in the world. First debuted back in 2004, Skype quickly gained trust in the market. Microsoft’s messaging app is now widely used by enterprises and business worldwide. Microsoft has been improving Skype since the day one to offer the user experience and more features.
However, Skype is falling behind other messaging apps on the market due to lack of exciting features. Microsoft has a lot of work to do if they want to grab some market ground they have lost to Facebook and Snapchat.
One of the most anticipated Skype’s features lies in the ability to record calls. In reality, Microsoft allows users to use third-party apps to record Skype calls. However, things have changed. Microsoft officially releases a phone recording feature for Skype. In reality, the Redmond company has been testing the feature for months and is now ready to announce it to the public.
Microsoft claims that the feature is rolling out to users worldwide. In reality, the phone recording feature is part of the update that is expected to hit all Skype users this year. That means that users need to update their Skype to access the feature. Microsoft also says that the feature will be available for all platforms including Windows, iOS, and Android this year.
According to Microsoft, all people in the call will be notified that their session is being recorded. In reality, Skype users have been dying for an official phone recording feature for a long time. Microsoft is finally adding it to the platform, offering users a built-in tool to record their calling session. This eliminates the need for a third-party app to be installed on your device.
Sources say that Microsoft has been working on new features for Skype in recent months. The company is also hiring more developers to work on its new Skype projects. Tech experts say that Microsoft wants to turn Skype into the number one messaging app in the world. The company is facing a lot of competition in the market. Facebook-owned WhatsApp now has more than one billion users worldwide.
