Apple has long been supporting the RED campaign for the fight against HIV/AIDS. Cupertino-based Company has helped raise more than a hundred million dollars, which better supports for the century-long fight against HTV/AIDS. Each year, on World AIDS Day, Apple turns its store logos red and offers a number of (RED) co-branded products and donates money to the campaign.
This year, Apple is speeding up their work to donate money to the cause with 20 of the most popular games in the App Store now offering RED in-app purchases and a number of new accessories at the Apple Store including iPhone 7 Smart Battery Case and iPhone SE case. Besides, there are also four new special edition products additions to Apple’s RED lineup this year.
The participating games for this year’s campaign includes many famous names like Angry Birds 2, Angry Birds POP, Candy Crush Jelly Saga, Clash of Clans, Clash Royale as well as Episode, Farm Heroes Saga, FarmVille: Tropic Escape, FIFA Mobile, Hay Day, MARVEL Contest of Champions, PewDiePie’s Tuber Simulator, Plants vs. Zombies Heroes, Best Fiends, Best Fiends Forever, Boom Beach, SimCity BuildIt, War Dragons and YAHTZEE With Buddies. Besides, Beats Solo 3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones and the Pill+ Portable Speaker are also added to this year’s campaign.
As noted earlier, more than 400 Apple Stores in the world will feature red logos and Apple will donate 1 USD for this year’s campaign on every purchase made with Apple Pay at Apple Stores and online stores. Bank of America is also a part of the campaign, as it has agreed to make a donation for every Apple Pay transaction using its cards.
This is the annual campaign Apple holds to support Thursday’s World AIDS Day where Apple introduces a number of products and special items for games in App Store.
