iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus may not come with a brand new design as previously expected, but they come with many changes and features that we’d consider revolutionary ranging from the removal of the 3.5 mm headphone jack to dual-camera system. 2017 will be a big year for Apple, as it marks the 10th anniversary of the iPhone and Apple of course is planning something special to celebrate the occasion.
There have been a lot of rumors tipping about Apple’s iPhone 8’s design, specs and new features. According to the latest rumors, iPhone 8 might sport a brand new design with less bezel around the sides and at the top and bottom of the device as well as virtualized buttons. Other rumors also say that iPhone 8 will sport a glass front and back with aluminum and stainless steel. This runs counter to the previous rumors claiming that the next iPhone 8 will come with plastic curved, OLED display.
In terms of specs, iPhone 8 has long been rumored to come with Apple’s latest A11 processors which are expected to be much faster and more energy efficient. Besides, there will be long wireless charging and bio-metric additions like iris or facial scanning. Previous rumors say that Apple will launch three iPhone models in 2017 including a premium model with OLED curved display along with two standard 4.7 and 5.5 inch iPhone models.
There have been several rumors that the 5.5 inch model might sport 2550 x 1440p display, while the 4.7 inch model will use a Full HD display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Other rumors also claim that iPhone 8 will be waterproof. In reality, this year’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are water resistant, which allows them to survive accidental splashes and floods, but users are expecting more from Apple next year, as they want to do underwater photography at shallow depths.
