Here is how you can fix Audiobooks not showing up on your iPhone or iPad
iPhone or iPad serves as the perfect tool for reading books or audiobooks. Audiobooks section was previously a part of the stock Music app, but with the release of iOS 8.4, Apple moved Audiobooks section to iBooks app, which is a little strange for some iOS users.
Many users have reported recently that their downloaded audiobooks are missing in the iBooks app. If you are among those who are being affected by the issue, we can help you out. In this guide, we will show you some tips for fixing downloaded audiobooks not showing up on your iPhone or iPad.
- Force reboot your device
Force rebooting seems to be a good start to fix the issue. Here is how you can do this:
Step one: First off, you need to launch the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad, scroll down to iBooks and tap on it to proceed
Step two: Next up, you need to turn off the switch next to Sync Collections. Once you are done, launch iBooks app and select Featured tab at the bottom
Step three: you now need to tap on your Apple ID and tap on Sign out. After that, force reboot your iPhone by pressing and holding the home (Volume) button and On/Off buttons at the same time for at least 10 seconds
Step four: Once your iPhone finishes rebooting, head to Settings app, select iBooks and tap on the toggle next to Sync Collections
Step five: You are now supposed to open iBooks app, tap on Featured and sign in using your Apple ID. Once you are done, tap on Purchased tab and tap on Audiobooks. All your downloaded audiobooks will be listed here
- Sign out of your iTunes account and sign in
Step one: First and foremost, you need to open iTunes store on your iPhone or iPad. Once you are in, make sure that you select Music tab at the bottom
Step two: Now, scroll down to the bottom, tap on your Apple ID and select Sign Out. Once you are done, force reboot your device and open iTunes Store app on your device
Step three: You are now supposed to sign in with your Apple ID account and tap on More tab to proceed
Step four: Tap on Purchased and tap on Audiobooks. Once done, you will see all your downloaded audiobooks on the next screen
If two solutions above don’t work for you, try resetting by heading to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.
