Fornite hits $100 million revenue in three months of availability

During its first three weeks of availability in the App Store, Fortnite generated $15 million, helping the game stand in line with other top hits like Clash of Clans, Pokémon Go, and Candy Crush Saga. Tech experts say that the number’s set to grow in the coming months.
According to the latest data, Fornite officially surpassed $100 million in user spending in three months after availability, which is super impressive. This helps the game beat out a wide range of other multiplayer gaming titles out there, like Honor of Kings.
Fornite is a free-to-play game, but users can purchase additional cosmetic items and battle passes. The game is now available on iOS devices only, and it remains unclear when the game hits Android devices. Sources say that Epic game has been working on an Android version of Fornite and will launch in 2019.
Tech experts say that the developer needs more time to make sure that everything runs smoothly at launch because Android devices come with a lot of hardware variants. According to sources, the game could not surpass Clash Royale in terms of user spending which generated $154 million in its first three months of availability. Clash Royale is one of the most successful games on mobile devices. The game hit $100 million in user spending after 51 days of availability in the App Store.
Back in 2016, Pokémon Go turned the gaming world into a craze. The game had more than 500 million downloads worldwide in 2016, making it one of the most used gaming title in the world. Fornite’s main rival, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) failed to live up to expectations, as it generated only $5.2 million in terms of user spending on iOS.
