GQ’s iPad Edition sells only 365 copies

The sales figures for GQ’s slick-looking app for the iPad are looking a little thin on the ground. Only 365 of their December 2009 Men of the Year issue were sold as of last week, according to this source.

The iPad app, priced at $2.99, is forging into new territory for GQ’s owner Conde Naste and is selling for $2 less than the newsstand version.

“This costs us nothing extra: no printing or postage,” says GQ VP/Publisher Pete Hunsinger. “Everything is profit, and I look forward to the time when iPad issue sales become a major component to our circulation.”
